Description
Thomas Batson (1760/1770-1831) immigrated from Ireland to Norfolk County, Virginia, and married Elizabeth Ives in 1788. They later moved to Halifax County, North Carolina and then to Montgomery County, Tennessee. Most descendants and relatives traced lived in the portion of Montgomery County which lies south of the Cumberland River. Other descendants and relatives lived in other parts of Tennessee, and in Kentucky, Michigan, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, California and elsewhere
